Grain Bin Bushel Calculator
Take four measurements at the bin — diameter, how deep the grain sits on the side wall, the peak, and your moisture and test weight — and this works out the bushels, shrink and pack factor included. Measure as many bins as you like and it totals them, and "Download as PDF" prints what's on the page. Nothing you type here is sent anywhere or saved.

- A round bin is measured as a cylinder plus its cone: the side-wall depth fills the cylinder, and the peak (or draw-down) is one-third of a cylinder of the same height.
- The pack factor accounts for grain settling under its own weight, and comes from the published test weight × bin diameter chart, which runs from 41.0 to 65.0 lb. Outside that, the chart's own rule applies — the test weight times the last published factor, divided by the last published test weight — and the figure is marked as computed rather than read.
- An estimate from a tape measure, not a scale ticket: a measured bin is only as good as the measurement, and a settled or crusted surface can throw the cone off. Farmers Mutual Hail's adjuster measures independently on a claim.
